I am a freelance proofreader who specialises in educational and mathematical documents. I have worked in education for 17 years and can use my experience to support your needs. I studied mathematics to degree level and have a very analytical mind. I am great with figures, formulas, data tables, diagrams, map reading and finer details. I am also a maths checker and have experience of checking all levels of maths from primary to degree level working with publishers and students. I have taught maths in Primary schools, planning and developing the maths curriculum.

I am a Professional member of The Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading and have undertaken regular training through the Institute to continue my professional development.

I am skilled at using Track changes in Microsoft Word and commenting tools in Word and Adobe Acrobat. I am proficient in British Standard Proofreading Symbols and can proofread on paper or digitally. I have experience of working as part of a publishing team using Trello, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Resource hub and Microsoft Office suite.
